BIOS Engineer

Role Description:

You need to design and implement new feature required by product or customer. You will be working closely with different function team (EE team, DQA team, …etc) and customer to complete product development and troubleshoot system problem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the BIOS firmware development meets project schedule and has good quality.
• Design and implement new BIOS feature.
• Debug and troubleshoot BIOS firmware issue.
• Assist internal and external customer to debug APU/CPU issue, PC hardware issue and OS issue.
• Provide consultation to internal and external customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate Degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in BIOS firmware development.
• Design BIOS feature required by product or customer.
• Ability to work independently and has accountability for result in a particular area of work.
• Enthusiasm for the application of new technology is welcome.

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:

• Familiar with the UEFI and EDK is essential.
• Knowledge with ACPI, USB, PCIE, SATA and other PC industry standard is essential.

Desirable:

• Good at programming language C is essential and familiar with x86 assembly is desirable.
• Familiar with system debugging skills to troubleshoot BIOS FW issue and system problem.
• Familiar with BIOS firmware development on AMD system or Intel system.
• Good at communication skills.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
