Purpose of the role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Sales Engineer to develop our growing presence in Germany with innovative display and embedded computing hardware and software/firmware. Being part of the EMEA field-based sales team, you will be responsible for the generation of new business opportunities in your region to a number of target industries, for example to Medical, Industrial and Test & Measurement. Your role will also have links to the global business development team for the successful growth and support of multinational customers across the Densitron group.  This role will involve a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret client requirements to enable the sale and management of the process.  Although fully supported we would expect this role to be capable of working to uncover new opportunities within your region and to capitalise on these to generate growth in sales.  The ability to adapt and converse with different stakeholders within the customer business is key.


Role responsibilities:

  • Develop new customers and new opportunities in Germany for Densitron’s range of display and computing offering
  • Achieve sales targets across the portfolio of hardware products and systems
  • Generate, track and close projects for new business opportunities
  • Follow up leads and gain an understanding of the customer’s requirements, including site visits to provide solutions to match their requirements
  • Accurately forecast opportunities pipeline and report it to Sales & Operations Director on a regular basis
  • Extensive client and prospect visits within Germany.
  • Provide feedback on market and product trend and competitors to maintain our market position
  • Interface business activity with project teams to always ensure effective communication, thus maximising all business opportunities
  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to keep up to date with all new products and developments within Densitron offering
  • Ensure professional data management in company CRM system

Skills and Experience:

  • A background of selling technical solutions with the ability to quickly absorb and interpret new/complex information an advantage
  • Fluent in German business and general technical language essential
  • Good level of written and verbal communication in English
  • Proven track record in display and/or embedded computing and inclusive customer relationship management desirable
  • Commercial understanding, with an ability to negotiate and manage customer expectations effectively
  • Highly organised and able to manage time and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Strong team player who works well to deadlines
  • Strong IT literacy: Windows, MS Office, CRM Tools,
  • Full driving licence, no convictions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience and success in business development, solution sales and client management within the medical/industrial or similar markets
  • Degree in a relevant electronics or computing discipline
  • Demonstrate experience and the Business ability to listen to, understand and then feedback customer requirements to the technical team
